I have been waiting for this book to come out! I really liked the first one and with the ending in it, I knew there would be more to come. I was somewhat disappointed with the short and really under-developed Ticees character - after all the book was named after him and again, with the ending of the first one, I expected more.I have to say, Chelan was somewhat annoying in this one, what a helpless mouse. In the first one, she seemed to find her backbone, but somewhere in between...I'm really on the fence. I found myself skipping pages - the pitiful thoughts in her head started to wear on me.
I do like the author. She is a great "world builder", I just think she need to get out of Chelan's head a bit!

Ticees is a well written, interesting science fiction/romance novel. Both novels in the series are definitely worth purchasing and reading. I would recommend reading RIBUS 7 Book 1 first. This book, like the first book in the series, is very hard to put down once a person starts to read it. The only issue I had with the book is the generalized discussions regarding Earth men and rape. Earth is pretty much portrayed as having rapists on every corner. While violence and rape are a part of Earth's society, I'd like to think that the majority of people are kind and decent--I know in my area of the world they are!
Just FYI both books are long... So not a quick read. They are jam packed with details and something happening. I love love love the guys in this series. I'm a bit ambivalent about the heroine. I found myself wanting to smack her a little bit for the melodrama.but that aside it was an extremely well written world with men to die for and a great overall love story. I wouldn't mind seeing other books about this world but with other people.
Absolutely fantastic continuation to this wonderful story. I was blown away by the story and the characters. It was absolutely amazing!! Just when you thought the story couldn't get any better it did!!! I'm so sad the series is over (. Maybe Shae Mills could write some more stories based on this series and if she does I will be front and center to read all of them. One of my absolute favorite authors now!!! I can't wait to read more stories from this brilliant writer!!! I'm seriously having withdrawals. I need more Shae Mills books in my life lol!!!
When I read the first book in this series, I had no desire to read this one. Don't get me wrong! The story was well written, it was original, the characters were well developed, and the plot was strong. What turned me off about this book was the h herself. Why do all the smart ones have the least common sense? For someone so smart, she was weak and simpy . I had hoped that in this second book, she would grow up. I gladly spent my 7$ in hopes that she became the confident female lead that she had the potential of becoming. Aside from that, I still enjoyed this book.
Amazing second book from beloved author Shae Mills. This story is a continuation of Ribus 7 and a rollercoaster of emotions just the same. You can't help but emerse yourself in the lives of the Korbus,Fremma,Dar and the woman they love and worship, Chelan (pronounced Shell-an, as my new favorite author so graciously told me). Chelan,plucked from her life on earth, was just beginning to conform to her life with her alien loves. You can't help but want a happy ending for all of them, but it comes at a very heavy price. I smiled, I laughed and I cried all throughout this book! Loved it!!
OMG! I've read hundreds of books but never one in this genre that I've enjoyed more. What a fabulous author. The book was incredible. I never felt as close to characters as I did with those in these two books. I did get a little frustrated with Chelan at times for being so self deprecating but I guess that's what helped make the character. They drew me in so much that I actually felt like I was there. Anyway, couldn't put my iPhone down and highly recommend the books. All books in this genre will only be rated and held accountable to these. Thanks for the fabulous time.
I completely burned through all four of these books in the series. I really loved them.
I looked forward to getting done with the boring minutiae of the day, so I could curl up and read. What greater compliment can I give?
It had all the hot/teas-y /sexy stuff that you buy a book like this for.....and more. The plot took crazy, surprising turns...never bored me. Kept a great pace, fun visuals. I swear, I even got teary.
I can tell I'll re-read them down the road.
For now I'm just writing this, hoping the author reads it .....and I'm gonna beg......and please please please! Write something new
, because I'll read it!
